The project “High speed and resolution additive fabrication through a new system for controlling the position of the added material” pursues the development of new 3D printing technology that makes use of electrohydrodynamic jets.

This project will allow increasing the jet generation speed if compared to traditional additive manufacturing technologies, creating filaments with a thickness down to 100 nm, and creating 3D structures with virtually any composition. By solving several challenges, this project will allow to translate the formulated technological concept into a commercially exploitable technology. Additionally, applications, a commercialization route and a business model will be defined.

The Catalan’ Government’s Agency for Management and of University and Research Grants (Agencia de Gestió i Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca (AGAUR)) has awarded this the project with a Llavor grant. This project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development fund (ERDF) and supported by Secretary of Universities and Research of the Ministry for Business and Knowledge of the Government of Catalonia.
